Photo check: centering

Is this copy centered well enough for a 10?

Take a photo of the card, check the corners and edges, and see the best grade each grader's published centering rule allows. A slightly tilted photo is straightened first. The photo stays on your device: only the line positions are sent, and if you save the check to a card, only the numbers and your answers are kept.

  • Lay the card flat on a dark, plain surface, out of the sleeve if you can do it safely.
  • Hold the phone above it, as square-on as you can. A small tilt gets straightened; a big one blurs the far edge.
  • Fill most of the photo with the card, in even light without glare on the border.
